1. Scope
This policy covers bjcalculator at bjcalculator.com, a free website offering a blackjack basic-strategy calculator, a simulator, and related educational articles. It does not cover any other website you may reach from a link here.
2. What we collect
Nothing, directly. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no form that asks for your name, email address, or any other identifying detail.
The card values and table rules you enter into the calculator and simulator are processed entirely inside your own browser. They are never transmitted to us. Close the tab and they are gone. We have no way of knowing what hands you looked up.
Our hosting provider automatically records standard request information that every web server receives — IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested, the referring page, and a timestamp. We use this only to keep the site running and to investigate abuse or faults.
3. Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies for its own features. Cookies may be set by the advertising described in section 4. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the calculator and simulator will continue to work normally.
4. Advertising
This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. This means the following.
- Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve you personalised ads.
- Any data gathered this way is handled by the advertising providers under their own policies. We never see it, receive it, or store it.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party advertising cookies more broadly at aboutads.info or Your Online Choices.

Consent in Europe
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, a banner asks for your consent to the use of cookies through a consent management platform (CMP). This site uses a CMP certified by Google.
The banner lets you consent, refuse, or choose purpose by purpose, and your choice determines whether advertising cookies are used and whether personalised ads are shown. Refusing changes nothing about how the calculator and the simulator work.
You can change your choice later. Clearing your browser cookies brings the banner back. Visitors from other regions do not see it.
5. Analytics
We may use an aggregate traffic-measurement tool to understand which pages are read. It reports totals, not individuals, and you can block it through your browser settings or a content blocker.
6. Retention
Because we collect nothing directly, there is no personal record here for us to keep. Server request logs are retained only as long as needed to operate the site and investigate problems — typically no more than 30 days — and are then deleted on a rolling basis. Aggregate counts that cannot be traced to an individual may be kept longer.
7. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- block or clear cookies in your browser;
- opt out of personalised advertising using the links in section 4;
- stop sending us any request data by leaving the site.
If you are in a jurisdiction that grants formal data-subject rights — including the EU and UK under the GDPR, California under the CCPA, and the Republic of Korea under the Personal Information Protection Act — you may contact us at the address in section 11 about any server log that might contain your IP address. Please include the approximate date and time of your visit, since that is the only way such an entry can be located.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children. Its subject matter concerns gambling odds and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (or under 14, where local law sets that threshold). If you believe we have, contact us and we will remove it.
9. External links
Some pages link to outside websites. Once you follow such a link, that site's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information.
10. Changes
We may revise this policy as the site or the applicable law changes. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do, and any material revision will be noted on the site.
